33. Jan 31, 2022. #5. Just as an update on this one guys. I purchased 16 x LIFePO4 batteries and a Seplos BMS. Hooked them up to a 2200va APC Smart-UPS and all works as expected. I can not go any larger than 2200va though as they then move from 48v battery packs to 72v and above.
Yes it will work, but there will be some tweaking needed to get the profile a bit closer to what LiFePO4 would be happy with ( and not all UPS units allow you to change these settings). Another part is the charging rate after use. Some UPS units take 6-8 hours to recharge, so not exactly fast.
